On a trip to the Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto, we came across a small temple and were given a simple phrase; translating as 'Normal Mind'. Its meaning is a bit more philosophical. As we interpret the phrase, it can also mean presence of mind. Essentially, think before making decisions. Understand the larger picture...mindfulness.
