A Torii Gate; the traditional Japanese found at the entrance of a Shinto shrine. In the Shinto religion, it symbolically marks the transition from the everyday to the sacred and a spot where kami (spirits) are welcomed travel through. We love this idea of transition...of leaving the everyday behind to appreciate something more special.
We etched this Torii Gate from a photo that we took in Kyoto.. It's a simple reminder that transitions can happen every day. Our aged silver pendant measures 3/4" square ( 1.9 cm square) and is mounted on a 24" (60 cm) silver chain.
