Religious medals found on a trip to Buenos Aires are cast in sterling silver & bronze which we then heavily aged to bring out the detail. We loved the floral style border treatment to the medals. One medal is Stella Maris or ‘Star of the Sea’ which is the name given to the Virgin Mary that watches over sailors & the seas. We combine this with the medal of Guadalupe, the Virgin Mary of Mexico & South America. The 3rd companion bronze medal is Jesus/Virgin Mary. The small silver connector is the Virgin with a small visitation scene on the back. Medals are approx. 5/8" H (1.6 cm). Length is 24" (60 cm).
