The medals on our newest cluster are all cast from 17th century Spanish medals. The centerpiece is the Holy Grail (cup or chalice) with the Immaculate Virgin on the reverse (in solid 14k yellow gold). It's flanked by a St Barbara/Our Lady of Pillar & St Francis/St Anthony, both in aged sterling silver. St Barbara is the patron saint of architects, storms, carpenters & artillerymen. Our Lady of Pillar is the patroness of the Spanish world. St Francis protects animals, the environment, families & peace while St Anthony watches over the poor, fishermen, the elderly & finds lost objects. All mounted on a 24" (60 cm) sterling silver chain.
